My path has taken me from youth academies to top-level teams across different countries and cultures. With each step, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of coaching, seeing it not just as a job but as a craft—a blend of strategic planning, adaptability, and connection with people. My career has been about steady, hands-on growth, with each role refining my approach to building resilient, competitive teams.

I began in Portugal, focused on youth development, which gave me a foundation in building players’ skills and mindsets from the ground up. Early on, I saw the importance of creating an environment where players feel valued beyond their performance on the field. Working with emerging talents reinforced my commitment to fostering growth and a culture of respect and communication—principles I’ve carried throughout my career.

At the senior level, I’ve had the privilege to work with high-profile athletes, bringing a focus on performance and consistency to help them succeed in highly competitive environments. Working with different teams has taught me that football is never static; each season and each squad brings unique dynamics that require adaptability in approach. My experience across diverse clubs and contexts has strengthened my ability to build a unified team identity that supports collective goals while honoring individual strengths, helping players feel stable and confident, even in high-pressure situations.

Alongside my coaching philosophy, I’m also a high-tech user. From exploring data and game statistics to utilizing AI tools, I use technology to gain insights that deepen my tactical planning and understanding of player development. This tech-driven approach enhances my ability to design tailored training that aligns with each player’s strengths and our team’s broader strategy.

At the core of my philosophy is balance: aligning the team’s tactical needs with each player’s personal growth, ensuring rigorous preparation while remaining adaptable, and blending leadership with active listening. I believe effective coaching is a continuous learning process, and I approach each training session, game, and interaction as an opportunity to improve.

Today, my focus remains on building teams that not only perform but grow together, cultivating a shared vision while giving each player the chance to thrive. Football is demanding, but with the right balance of structure, empathy, and adaptability, I believe every team has the potential to achieve something meaningful—on and off the pitch.
